AND SO IT BEGINS...

To begin I am setting myself challenges, to undo as many negative traits that I have taken on as possible.

In the interest of science I would love to do these individually, allowing you to see the benefits that each one has, but there is one significant problem with that…the majority of these changes need to take place now.

So I am beginning with the following:

-No more fast food (I would normally have 3-4 meals per week out of convenience)

-7 day juice fast (Beginning with a detox, with the intention to complete a full fast eventually)

-100 press-ups in 7 weeks (I am currently on week 4, and my goal is to do 100 press-ups per day as part of a morning routine)

-The 30 day No Porn/No Masturbation Challenge (There are so many negatives from this and it has been a strong addiction, pretty much every day since I was 12, so this is where I am most looking forward to seeing a change)

A STEP TOWARDS THE LIGHT

Welcome...to my awakening!

I think it’s important to start with who I am.  My intention is that this blog will not only make some interesting reading, but also act as a blueprint for your own ascent towards personal awakening.

I work a 9-6 job as a Business Analyst, for a company that provides IT related services in the Banking Sector.  I earn a good wage and my current employment has me working in Romania (originally from the UK), where I have been since April 2013.

This is where my journey begins, probably owing to the fact that I have spent a significant amount of time alone since the start of 2013 due to work.  In this time I have started to realise various changes to my mental state as I become more aware of everything.

Videos that I have seen before but paid little interest to previously, now hold new meaning for me, I am the guy that didn’t watch animal cruelty taking place at the suppliers of fast food restaurants just so that I could continue eating in ignorant bliss.

But this is no longer the case…

Many quotes come to mind currently, but none more prominent than

Be the change that you want to see in the world

It would be simple to continue down my current path, promotions and bonuses if I play the game right, a large house, a fancy car, holidays to wherever I might decide.  But this is not happiness, only the superficial construction within our minds based on the paths that we have mindlessly followed since our “education” began.

Asked when I was a child what do I want to be when I grow up, my answer was simple, “an Accountant”.  Informed by many adults that the money will be good, this was the path a chose.  Until I did some temporary work for an accountancy firm, saw the gentleman that had been there for the past 20 years and realized that actually I really don’t want this.  Perhaps the first “shudder” that life wasn’t going to be all it was cracked up to be.

These small “shudders” have happened frequently through life, but still I continued, believing my path was already laid out to be followed blindly, regardless of what my mind truly believed.
It is said that bliss comes from doing something you truly enjoy, that your best work will be done when you find your place in life and put everything you have into it.

Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life - Confucius

I am not the best writer but I do take genuine enjoyment from helping people so I hope this blog will be of some benefit to whomever reads it.  I will be honest and open and I hope to attract like-minded people that can share information and ideas with each other for the benefit of everyone.

Your future is not written in stone, it is yours to choose, it is sad that so few people realise this.  You may even believe that you are already deciding your future, but is it the life you truly want or is it decided by the adverts you see, the perceived happiness they show and the perception of what the vast majority of people believe a “happy” life consists of?

There is a change currently taking place in the world, many individuals are “waking up”, this is not a fad, this is exactly what we need to make positive changes in the world that will ensure that later generations can experience true happiness and see all of the awe inspiring beauty that the world has to offer.

I’m in…are you?
